Job Opportunity: Neonatologist in Harrisonburg, VA

Join our expanding practice in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley!

The facility offers a Level 2 special care nursery with a team-oriented approach, providing family-centered healthcare in collaboration with pediatric hospitalists. You will be a key player in delivering quality healthcare to newborns and will have access to sub-specialty support as well as the chance to engage in clinical research and quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a 6-bed Level II special care nursery with 24-hour shifts.
• Utilize block scheduling and a flexible out-of-house call schedule.
• Work collaboratively with pediatric hospitalists to cover the newborn nursery.
• Participate in clinical research projects and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
• Exchange best practices and ideas with colleagues from across over 400 NICUs.
• Open to commuter candidates.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (REQUIRED)
• Virginia medical license (or willingness to obtain) (REQUIRED)
• Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) (REQUIRED)
• DEA license (must be obtained prior to start) (REQUIRED)
• No visa support required (J1 or H1B).

Licenses and Certifications:

• Board Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (REQUIRED)
• Virginia state medical license or willingness to obtain (REQUIRED)
