Job Opportunity: Physician - Neonatology

We are seeking a Board Certified Neonatologist to join our expanding practice at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital. This Level 2 facility, located in the picturesque Shenandoah Valley, offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth and a collaborative approach to family-centered care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a 6-bed Level II special care nursery with 24-hour shifts and block scheduling.
- Engage in collaboration with pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists to provide comprehensive care in the newborn nursery.
- Participate in clinical quality improvement (CQI) and research projects.
- Exchange best practices and ideas within a network of thousands of providers across over 400 NICUs.
- Enjoy a flexible out-of-house call schedule with plans to expand services in the coming years.
- Open to commuters while not accepting locum or visa candidates.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (Required)
- Must hold a valid Virginia medical license (or be willing to obtain)
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (active within 30 days) – required upon presentation
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start)
- Candidates requiring visa support (J1 or H1B) should note this in the application.
