The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities:

We are currently searching for a dynamic Neurologist to join our outstanding team as our Division Chief. This position will be a mix of clinical and administrative/leadership + teaching medical students and residents. Coney Island Hospital is currently undergoing an expansion, including the completion of an 11-story tower. We are working towards a certified stroke center, therefore, our candidate must have prior stroke experience.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include:

  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology
  • Current NYS license (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience post-fellowship
  • Prior leadership/teaching experience
  • Desire and passion to work with the underserved
