Seeking a Medical Director who is responsible for the clinical operations and medical staff within the Richmond area, specific to the Medicare population.

Primary duties:

Maintains and develops comprehensive healthcare delivery system.

Provides strategic and operational direction for the delivery of performance based medical management.

Manages budget and risk drivers.

Analyzes and reports business performance data to customers, senior management, and Board of Directors.

Analyzes local profit and loss performance.

Contributes to the internal and external health industry development efforts.

Performs clinical duties which include conducting rounds in the hospital, taking calls, reviewing cases and patient discharge plans, admitting patients, partnering with case managers on patient transfers, seeing patients at Care Centers and giving pre-op clearance.

Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
