Medical Director (MD/DO) – Primary Care
Brownsville, TX (Remote)

Overview:
Our primary care practice in Brownsville is seeking a Remote Physician to serve as a part-time Medical Director, providing comprehensive telemedicine primary care to adult and family populations. New grads and experienced physicians alike are encouraged to apply for this flexible, fully remote role with optional in-office work available.

Position Offers:

  • Schedule: Flexible, based on completing 72 hours of chart reviews
  • Compensation: $1,200–1,500 per month, plus $100–200 per hour for in-office patient visits
  • Malpractice insurance contribution provided after 1 year
  • Fully remote, with optional in-office work available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled and same-day telemedicine consultations for primary care, acute issues, and chronic disease management
  • Perform detailed virtual histories and examinations using telehealth tools and clinical judgment to guide diagnostic and treatment decisions
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications, ordering labs/imaging, and arranging follow-up care
  • Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and cardiovascular disease through remote care protocols
  • Provide preventive care services including wellness visits, screenings, immunization oversight, and lifestyle counseling
  • Collaborate with local healthcare providers, specialists, and ancillary services to coordinate in-person evaluations when necessary
  • Document all encounters thoroughly and accurately in the EMR, adhering to regulatory and payer requirements
  • Utilize remote monitoring data and telehealth platforms to track patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Active, current medical licensure (MD/DO) in Texas
  • 1+ year of experience preferred
