Overview:
* Opportunity to step into a newly opened but established Physician Advisor role
* Ideal for a board-certified physician with inpatient clinical experience
* Lead physician-driven clinical resource utilization initiatives
* Partner with executive and operational leadership to develop utilization management strategies
* Review cases for medical necessity and appropriate level of care determination
* Apply CMS, commercial payer, regulatory, and clinical guidelines during denial reviews
* Serve as a physician resource regarding medical necessity, utilization management, level of care, and clinical documentation improvement
* Facilitate effective communication among physicians, case management, utilization review, and care teams
* Establish and maintain peer-to-peer review protocols with insurance providers
* Opportunity to influence quality, compliance, and operational performance across the organization
* Collaborative leadership role with significant physician engagement
