Medical Director - Geriatric Primary Care House Calls


SCHEDULE:
- Per Diem
- Flexible Options
- Monday to Friday
- No Evenings
- No Weekends
- No Holidays


COMPENSATION:
- $130 per Hour, negotiable based on experience
- Mileage Reimbursement
- Malpractice Insurance


LOCATION:
Greensboro, North Carolina


COMPANY PROFILE:
This compassionate non-profit organization is dedicated to delivering convenient, high-quality care to patients in a variety of settings. They currently boast a team of 11 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who, along with dedicated nursing, clinical, and administrative team members, ensure that patients receive the best medical care possible while working diligently to remove access barriers. Their services include home-based primary care, palliative care, hospice care, chronic illness management, home health, counseling services, and more.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, the Medical Director will assist in setting the overall clinical direction of the house call practice and Medicare GUIDE dementia care program, ensuring that care delivery aligns with the organization's mission, value-based strategy, and growth objectives.

The overall areas of responsibility for the Medical Director include:

- clinical provider oversight
- supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants
- maintain a small, coverage-based clinical practice
- clinical leadership and strategy
- Medicare GUIDE program oversight
- operational and financial collaboration
- make clinical decisions in partnership with other leaders

The practice uses the AthenaCare EHR.



REQUIREMENTS:
- North Carolina medical license
- DEA
- Board Certification, relevant speciality (internal medicine, family medicine, geriatrics, etc.)
- 5+ years related clinical experience
- previous leadership experience strongly preferred
