### Locums to Perm | Medical Director – Correctional Medicine | Dallas, TX ###Why This Role

  • Leadership opportunity overseeing medical services for the Dallas County jail system
  • Provide clinical oversight for a large correctional health program serving adult patient populations
  • Work closely with behavioral health leadership and multidisciplinary teams
  • Influence quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and program development
  • Opportunity to recruit, mentor, and develop physician and APP teams
  • Spanish proficiency considered a strong plus ###Assignment Details

  • Setting: Correctional Health Services within the Dallas County jail system ###Clinical & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate all medical services for Correctional Health Services
  • Provide oversight for adult and women‚Äôs health programs within the jail system
  • Supervise physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Collaborate with Behavioral Health leadership to provide integrated care
  • Serve as liaison between jail physicians and hospital, ER, and specialty services
  • Lead quality management initiatives and performance improvement programs
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols, procedures, and policies
  • Support physician recruitment, staff development, and retention initiatives
  • Maintain relationships with the Sheriff‚Äôs Department, Parkland leadership, and community partners
  • Assist with program development, training, and educational initiatives ###Requirements
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible physician
  • Completion of an ACGME or AMA accredited residency
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in clinical medicine programs
  • Texas medical license or ability to obtain within 180 days
  • Must meet all medical staff credentialing requirements
  • NPDB Self-Query within the past 30 days required ###Preferred
  • Correctional health experience
  • Spanish language proficiency
  • Clean malpractice and licensing history ###Compensation
