We are seeking a Medical Director for our Fayetteville location. This role oversees the medical aspects of participant care within the PACE model, ensuring seniors with chronic care needs can remain safely in their community.


-Schedule:
Full-time Monday – Friday, day shift (some part-time availability).
-Location: Fayetteville, NC.
-Team: Provides direction and supervision to Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs); reports to the Executive Director and Chief Medical Officer.
-Charting: Oversight of clinical outcomes and the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.

Job Responsibilities

-Provide general medical direction and supervise medical aspects of participant care.
-Conduct history and physicals for new participants; develop and manage medical treatment plans.
-Participate as an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and lead intake/assessment decisions.
-Develop and maintain medical policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
-Educate participants and families on chronic conditions and health maintenance.

Qualifications

-Board Certification: Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice [REQUIRED]. Geriatrics certification [PREFERRED].
-Licensure: Active North Carolina Medical License [REQUIRED].
-Credentialing: Current CDS/DEA and a Self-Query NPDB report pulled within the same month of submission [REQUIRED].
-Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with a frail or elderly population [REQUIRED]. Previous supervisory experience [REQUIRED].
-Restrictions: No visa support available.

Working Hours

-Shifts: Standard day shifts (M-F).
-On-Call: Weekend call and rotation with Nurse Practitioners required.
-Availability: Locum placement; full-time preferred

Skills

-Expertise in geriatric physical examinations and diagnostic evaluation.
-Strong leadership for a collaborative, physician-led PACE environment.
-Ability to manage clinical outcomes and quality improvement initiatives.
