Southwestern Connecticut - Hem-Onc Group looking to add a Hem-Onc MD to a private group with partnership. Salary for year 1 with partnership in year 2 and beyond. Income should double. Great area, with great quality of life.
Job Description:

Job Function:
Work primarily out of one well-established Cancer Center.
Join a collaborative team of 8 Hematologists-Oncologists and 5 Hem-Onc APPs; the group is currently looking to add 2 additional APPs.
40-hour work week with a 30-minute lunch.
Position is based at a single location, providing continuity of care within the same cancer center.
Treatment Management: Develop and implement treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies, in collaboration with physicians.
Symptom Management: Prescribe medications to manage pain, nausea, and other treatment-related side effects.
Procedures: Perform or assist with procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures.
Patient Education & Support: Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and navigating the healthcare system.
Coordination of Care: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and social workers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Survivorship & Palliative Care: Provide follow-up care for cancer survivors and supportive care for patients with advanced disease.
Call rotation of 1:9.
Manage and treat both liquid and solid tumor patients, with opportunities to develop specialization in a particular focus area.
Salaried position with partnership potential.
Job Requirements:
- Fellowship trained in Hem-Onc
- Board Certification (BC) required.
- Active Connecticut (CT) license required.
- Clean professional and disciplinary history required.
