Practice Setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities / Post-Acute Care
The Medical Director will provide comprehensive clinical care while overseeing medical operations across assigned skilled nursing facilities. This position combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based treatment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care including evaluations, examinations, and treatment planning
Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions
Apply evidence-based medicine to diagnose and manage medical conditions
Coordinate referrals with specialists and healthcare providers
Oversee appropriate use of medical supplies and resources
Support quality improvement and patient care standards across facilities
Qualifications:
✔ MD, DO, or MBBS from an accredited institution
✔ Active or eligible U.S. medical license
✔ Experience in post-acute, geriatrics, internal medicine, or family medicine preferred
✔ Leadership or Medical Director experience is a plus
✔ Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
