The Opportunity:
A global Fortune 500 company in the Northeast seeks a Medical Director to provide clinical, strategic and operational leadership to the organization’s multi-site primary care medical practices with employee clinic locations across the United States. Based in the corporate headquarters, the Medical Director will ensure exceptional patient care while driving innovation and operational excellence. Combining clinical responsibilities with strategic administrative leadership, this new leader will also monitor and mitigate legal risk and serve as an internal consultant on global and public health concerns. The ideal candidate will bring transparency, adaptability, embrace new technologies, and bring a forward-thinking approach to elevate the practice to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity for a progressive primary care physician with strong executive skills to lead a high performing corporate physician organization committed to providing high quality care and an exceptional patient experience.
The Medical Director inspires trust, promotes collegial dialogue and collaborates in planning and problem solving in an environment that values diversity and enables all colleagues to develop their talents and do their best work. The Medical Director’s responsibilities include participating in provider recruitment and on-boarding, promoting quality patient care, fostering quality improvement initiatives, monitoring the delivery of accepted standards of care and advancing practice goals around the patient experience. This is an opportunity to make a difference in patient care delivery and patient experience across the organization while creating the structure required to mitigate risk and ensure the highest levels of quality of care. The Medical Director collaborates with administrative colleagues in the development and execution of the Practice’s strategic plans and day-to-day operations.
The Ideal Candidate:
• MD or DO with an active medical license required.
• Board certification in internal medicine, family medicine, or other primary care specialty.
• Engage in patient care approximately 10% of the time.
• Successful experience in clinical leadership and growth of primary care services.
• Proven experience in clinical practice and administrative leadership.
• Strong understanding of medical liability and compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with empathy, compassion, and outstanding bedside manner.
• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on patient care.
• Passion for innovation and patient-centered care.
