Academic medical center seeking a cardiologist to join a well-established division with an upcoming retirement and strong long-term growth need.
Job Description:
Compensation : $350000 - $425000 Job ID : 42230
Job Function:
Mix of echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and CT, with a strong need for coronary CT expertise.
Schedule includes three outpatient sessions (10–15 patients each), with most visits supported by residents; remaining time is spent inpatient.
Call is covered one week at a time and is highly manageable due to strong resident coverage; interventional cardiology support is available, and call rarely disrupts cath lab or clinic schedules.
Weekend call is extremely light, with minimal after-hours requirements; 24/7 cath and CT labs are available, and clinical decisions can be made remotely with on-site staff support.
Echocardiograms and EKGs may be interpreted remotely from home.
Supportive, collaborative team environment with a strong culture of mutual assistance.
Academic setting with medical student and resident teaching; all faculty actively participate in education.
New graduates are welcome, including those early in coronary and vascular CT, with training available; coronary CT represents the primary clinical need.
Job Requirements:
- BC/BE in Cardiology.
- NY State License (or eligibility).
- Coronary CT experience preferred; new grads with training welcome.
- Commitment to education and team-based care.
