Medical Director – Geriatric Medicine

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical leadership and oversight of the interdisciplinary clinical team in a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) setting
  • Conduct initial and periodic assessments of participants, develop and manage medical treatment plans
  • Participate in intake evaluations and eligibility determinations
  • Lead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives
  • Supervise and collaborate with primary care and advanced practice providers
  • Oversee medical policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure quality care
  • Educate participants and their caregivers on chronic conditions and care plans
  • Participate in on-call provider rotation as required
  • Foster a team-based, participant-centered care environment

Requirements

  • Clear and active medical license in the State of Florida
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (required)
  • Board Certification or added qualifications in Geriatric Medicine (preferred)
  • Minimum of one year experience caring for a frail or elderly population (required)
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience (required)
  • CDS Certification and DEA Registration (required)
  • Strong skills in physical assessment and chronic disease management for older adults
  • Passion for working in an innovative, community-based healthcare setting
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs
