VHS is looking for an Interim Chief Psychiatrist Medical Officer to oversee multiple Behavioral Health facilities in Washington State!
Start: ASAP
Up to 1 yr assignment (possibly longer)
Independent Contractor - $265-285/hr based on experience
Requirements:
This role will be responsible for the oversight of medical practices for both inpatient and outpatient services. He/she will support the medical team in multiple locations around central/eastern Washington. The CMO will have direct oversight of PAs and PharmDs. Will need the kills to fill-in for the Medical Director at times and should have both administrative and consulting experience.

Requirements:
- A valid license to practice medicine in the State of Washington
- And, completion of an ACGME approved residency in Psychiatry, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
- And, 5 years of post-eligibility practice in hospital care
- And, broad understanding of all the patients served and the medical treatment protocols or guidelines for various acute and chronic psychiatric and medical conditions
- Regulations of the State of Washington and the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) standards
- Prior experience as a supervising psychiatrist or training and education of psychiatric residents
- Evidence-based psychosocial therapies, trauma informed care and emerging concepts in recovery from mental illness
- Sound judgment, decision making, conflict resolution, problem-solving, time management, collaborative, and strategic planning leadership skills
