We are actively seeking a highly
qualified and experienced Medical Director for our Trauma Intensive Care Unit
in Bakersfield, California. As a full time leader, you will play a pivotal role
in overseeing the medical care and management of critically ill trauma
patients.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree and completion of a General Surgery residency program.
- Board certification in General Surgery.
- Significant experience in trauma surgery, with a focus on emergency and critical care.
- Licensure to practice medicine in the state of California

Responsibilities:
Leadership: Provide strategic and clinical leadership for the Trauma ICU team. Collaborate with hospital administration to enhance trauma care services.
Clinical Oversight: Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to critically ill trauma patients in the ICU. Collaborate with trauma surgeons, intensivists, and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
Quality Improvement: Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives within the Trauma ICU. Conduct regular reviews of protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with best practices.
Education and Training: Provide education and training to medical staff, residents, and nursing teams. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including trauma surgeons, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions.
