The Medical Director is a key leader in the Behavioral Health Division of LPG. Reporting to the Chief Physician Operations Executive, the Medical Director for Behavioral Health (MDBH) will lead the health system in the transformation to an integrated Behavioral and Mental Health delivery system. The Medical Director will dedicate 60% of their time to administrative leadership of the BH outpatient and consult liaison programs; growing the division, forging partnerships, growing programs, supervising and mentoring providers, and attending meetings. This administrative partnership will work in collaboration with the clinic and operations leaders within the division, serving as the dyad partner within the BH division. This leader will also dedicate 40% of their time to providing direct clinical care.

In addition to the 60% administrative duties and responsibilities as Medical Director, this role will provide 40% direct clinical care in the BH OP department. Ensures excellent clinical care to patients in the practice and role models the behaviors outlined in the LMHS Physician Compact. Participates with LPG leadership in planning and executing strategy at practice site. Works with practice team to ensure an excellent patient experience with attention to patient access, employee engagement and clinical performance metrics. Works closely with the operational leader to ensure provision of high quality and cost effective services at the medical practice. Ensures compliance with all rules and policies of LPG as well as all applicable external agencies.
