Locums | Maternal-Fetal Medicine | Detroit, MI (MI or IMLC) Why This Role

Assignment Details Start/end: January 1, 2027, ongoing Schedule: Full-time Jan 1-24, Monday-Friday 8am-6pm with weekday night call and weekend 24-hour call; after January, anticipated twice-monthly coverage Coverage type: Inpatient/outpatient MFM + call Volume: 0-5 inpatient/L&D patients/day, averaging ~2; approximately 3,000 deliveries/year Setting: MFM service with Level III NICU; high- and low-risk obstetric patients Support: Residents, sonographer, ultrasound support; high-risk resident clinic Credentialing: 90-120 days Clinical Details Required scope: Inpatient MFM rounding and consults, high-risk OB, resident supervision, phone consultations, and ultrasound interpretation Required procedures: Amniocentesis, cerclage including rescue cerclage, and external cephalic version Preferred scope: Chorionic villus sampling No delivery coverage, GYN surgery, or GYN call Call-back is minimal, typically one or fewer per call shift Requirements Board certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine License: MI or IMLC BLS and ACLS Must be proficient in all required procedures Active DEA Compensation Rate caps apply per facility Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
