Position Type: Permanent

Shift: 4-day work week; typical daytime clinical schedule (approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Position Details:
Patient Population: High-risk obstetric patients with complex maternal and fetal conditions
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient Maternal-Fetal Medicine practice within a high-acuity tertiary care center supporting over 7,500 annual deliveries

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage complex maternal and fetal conditions
• Perform advanced prenatal diagnostics, including ultrasound and genetic testing
• Perform full-scope Maternal-Fetal Medicine procedures
• Collaborate with OB hospitalists, nocturnists, neonatologists, pediatric specialists, and MFM ARNPs
• Participate in consultative outreach services to regional locations
• Provide postpartum care support in coordination with advanced practice providers
• Engage in resident teaching and mentorship activities
• Participate in clinical research initiatives and academic collaborations
• Maintain evidence-based care, quality improvement, and patient safety standards

Required Procedures:

• Advanced obstetric ultrasound
• Genetic testing and prenatal diagnostics
• Full-scope Maternal-Fetal Medicine procedures
• Fetal echocardiography and chorionic villus sampling (CVS) experience preferred but not required

Support Staff: OB Hospitalists, Nocturnists, Neonatologists, Pediatric Specialists, Maternal-Fetal Medicine ARNPs, and hospital-based support teams
Days Per Month: 4-day work week
On-Call/Weekends: Home call coverage approximately 3–4 times per month; approximately 10 weekend calls annually

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
• Washington Medical License or willingness to obtain
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days)
• DEA required prior to start date
• Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
• Must specify visa sponsorship requirements (J1/H1B)
