📅 Coverage Dates: Multiple blocks available in May
⏰ Schedule: Monday–Friday Clinic + Call Coverage
A well-established healthcare system in Virginia is seeking a Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to provide coverage during an active recruitment period. This opportunity offers a dynamic mix of outpatient clinic care and inpatient consultation, working with a collaborative team supporting high-risk pregnancies.
✨ Position Highlights
🔹 Monday–Friday clinic schedule 8:00 AM – 4:15 PM
🔹 Night call on weekdays + 24-hour weekend call
🔹 Mix of clinic and inpatient coverage
🔹 Work alongside NP support and experienced clinical staff
🔹 Approximately 27 patients per day
🔹 Practice focused primarily on high-risk pregnancies
🏥 Practice Environment
✔ Office + inpatient coverage
✔ Supported by RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, and front office staff
✔ Onsite ultrasound available
✔ 3 exam rooms
✔ EMR: EPIC
👩⚕️ Clinical Focus
This role focuses heavily on high-risk maternal and fetal care, including:
• Amniocentesis
• Chorionic Villus Sampling
• Cerclage (preferred)
• Pre-eclampsia management
• Multiple gestation pregnancies
• Growth restriction
• Chromosomal and congenital abnormalities
• Pre-term labor
• Hypertension & thrombophilia
• Genetic disorders and birth defects
Providers should be comfortable managing complex maternal and fetal conditions across both clinic and hospital settings.

📌 Board Certified / Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
📌 MFM Fellowship
📌 Active Virginia License
📌 BLS Certification
📌 NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days)
⭐ AIUM Certification preferred
