Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to provide temporary coverage during a recruitment period. The role includes both outpatient clinic and inpatient responsibilities, focusing primarily on high-risk pregnancies. The provider will work within a two-physician service model supported by specialized clinical staff.

One physician per site (two-provider service across two hospitals)

Job Details / Responsibilities
-
Provide maternal fetal medicine care for predominantly high-risk pregnancies (95%).
-
Deliver both office-based consultations and inpatient coverage.

Perform and interpret advanced prenatal diagnostic procedures including:

Amniocentesis
-
Chorionic villus sampling (CVS)
-
Cerclage (preferred)
-

Manage complex maternal-fetal conditions such as:
-
Pre-eclampsia and hypertension
-
Multiple gestation pregnancies
-
Fetal growth restriction
-
Chromosomal and congenital abnormalities
-
Pre-term labor and genetic disorders
-
Maternal or fetal comorbidities associated with high-risk pregnancies

Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries when necessary.

Utilize onsite ultrasound technology (GE 10) and document care using Epic and ViewPoint systems.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary support team including RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, nurse practitioner, and administrative staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Completion of MFM fellowship training.
-
Active Virginia medical license required.

BLS certification required.
-
AIUM certification preferred.
-
NPDB Self-Query report dated within 30 days required at presentation.
