Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician Needed in VA!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to provide office and inpatient coverage during an active recruitment period. This role focuses primarily on high-risk pregnancies within a collaborative two-provider service model.

• 05/08–05/15

• 05/16–05/22

• 05/26–05/31

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
Coverage Duration: Ongoing dates TBD

Job Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting: Office and inpatient coverage
Average Patients Per Day: 27
Practice Composition:

• 1 MFM physician per site (2-provider service line total)

• 1 rotating Nurse Practitioner

• No supervision of other providers required

Clinical Focus:

• 95% high-risk pregnancies

• 5% low-risk pregnancies

• Level III nursery

• 3 exam rooms

• Onsite ultrasound (GE 10 equipment)

• No onsite lab

Support Staff:

• RN clinic educator

• Sonographer

• Genetic counselor

• Front office team

EMR: Epic and Viewpoint

Required Procedures & Clinical Scope

• Amniocentesis

• Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)

• Cerclage (preferred)

• Management of pre-eclampsia

• Multiple gestation

• Growth restriction

• Chromosomal and congenital abnormalities

• Pre-term labor

• Hypertension and thrombophilia

• Genetic disorders and birth defects

• Vaginal and cesarean births

• Management of maternal or fetal co-morbidities contributing to high-risk pregnancy

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine (Required)

• MFM Fellowship (Required)

• Active Virginia license (Required)

• BLS certification (Required)

• AIUM Certification (Preferred)
