We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage to support the practice during an active recruitment period. This opportunity includes both outpatient clinic and inpatient responsibilities in a high-risk obstetrics practice.
Practice Details:
Setting: Office and inpatient coverage
Average Patients per Day: 27
Providers per Site: 1 physician
APP Support: 1 Nurse Practitioner (rotating between sites)
Supervision of APPs: Not required
Exam Rooms: 3
Onsite Ultrasound: Yes (GE 10 equipment)
Onsite Lab: No
Nursery Level: III
Practice Composition:
95% High-Risk Pregnancy
5% Low-Risk Pregnancy
Support Staff Includes:
RN Clinic Educator
Sonographer
Genetic Counselor
Front Office Team
Required Clinical Skills & Procedures:
Candidates must be comfortable managing high-risk obstetric patients and performing:
Amniocentesis
Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)
Cerclage (preferred)
Management of:
Pre-eclampsia
Multiple gestations
Growth restriction
Chromosomal abnormalities
Congenital abnormalities
Pre-term labor
Hypertension
Thrombophilia
Genetic disorders
Birth defects
Complex maternal/fetal co-morbidities
Vaginal and Cesarean deliveries.
Requirements:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
MFM Fellowship
Active Virginia License
BLS Certification
AIUM Certification
