Outstanding Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine opportunity in Midlothian, Virginia supporting a high-acuity perinatal service during an active recruitment period. This practice focuses on 95% high-risk pregnancies, delivering advanced maternal and fetal care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Join a collaborative two-provider MFM service supported by a rotating NP, experienced sonographer, genetic counselor, RN clinic educator, and dedicated clinical staff. The practice utilizes EPIC EMR with Viewpoint integration and onsite ultrasound technology to manage complex fetal and maternal conditions.
Ideal for Fellowship-trained MFM physicians passionate about high-risk obstetrics and advanced prenatal diagnostics.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform and interpret advanced obstetric ultrasounds
• Conduct amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling
• Perform cerclage placement (preferred)
• Manage pre-eclampsia, multiple gestations, and fetal growth restriction
• Evaluate chromosomal and congenital abnormalities
• Treat pre-term labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, and genetic disorders
• Manage maternal co-morbidities complicating pregnancy
• Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic coverage
• Participate in weekday night call and 24-hour weekend call
Qualifications
• Fellowship-Trained in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Active Virginia Medical License
• BLS Certification
• AIUM Certification (preferred)
• Recent NPDB Self-Query
Working Hours
• Nightly weekday call
• 24-hour weekend call coverage
