Exceptional Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine opportunity in Richmond, Virginia supporting a well-established high-risk OB service during a recruitment period. This is a 95% high-risk pregnancy practice providing advanced maternal and fetal care in both outpatient clinic and inpatient settings.
Join a collaborative two-provider MFM service supported by a dedicated NP, sonographer, genetic counselor, RN clinic educator, and strong front-office team. The practice utilizes EPIC EMR and onsite ultrasound technology to manage complex maternal and fetal conditions.
Ideal for Fellowship-trained MFM physicians seeking meaningful impact in a high-acuity perinatal environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform and interpret advanced obstetric ultrasounds
• Conduct amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling
• Perform cerclage procedures (preferred)
• Manage pre-eclampsia, multiple gestations, fetal growth restriction
• Evaluate chromosomal and congenital abnormalities
• Treat pre-term labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, and genetic disorders
• Provide consultation for vaginal and cesarean births
• Deliver inpatient consults and outpatient clinic coverage
• Participate in weekday night call and 24-hour weekend call
Qualifications
• Fellowship-Trained in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Active Virginia Medical License
• BLS Certification
• AIUM Certification (preferred)
• Recent NPDB Self-Query
Working Hours
• Nightly weekday call
• 24-hour weekend call coverage
