Seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to provide locum coverage during an active recruitment period. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-acuity, well-supported MFM practice with strong clinical infrastructure.

Location: Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center (clinic & inpatient coverage)

Coverage Model: 2-provider service

One MFM at St. Francis Medical Center

One MFM at St. Mary’s Hospital

APP Support: 1 Nurse Practitioner rotating between sites

Practice Focus:

High-Risk OB: 95%
-
Low-Risk OB: 5%

Average Patients/Day: ~27
-
Exam Rooms: 3
-
Nursery Level: Level III
-
EMR: EPIC (Viewpoint)
-
Ultrasound: Onsite (GE 10)
👩⚕️ Clinical Scope & Required Skills
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing high-risk pregnancies, including:

Amniocentesis

Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)

Cerclage (preferred)

Pre-eclampsia & hypertension

Multiple gestations
-
Fetal growth restriction
-
Chromosomal & congenital abnormalities

Genetic disorders & birth defects

Preterm labor
-
Thrombophilia
-
Vaginal & Cesarean deliveries
-
Complex maternal and fetal comorbidities

📋 Requirements
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible – Maternal-Fetal Medicine
-
Completed MFM Fellowship
-
Active Virginia medical license
-
BLS certification
-
AIUM certification – Preferred
-
Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days)
