Job description
This is a locum tenens Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician opportunity providing temporary coverage for a physician resignation within a CHI Health physician practice in Nebraska. The provider will deliver comprehensive MFM services across clinic, labor & delivery, and postpartum settings. Coverage includes weekday clinic hours, night call, and 24-hour weekend call across multiple affiliated facilities.

3–5 days (over a weekend) or up to 1 week at a time (including weekends)

Schedule Details:

Clinic: Monday–Friday, ~8:30a–5:00p (one weekday is a no-contact day)

Call: Nights 5:00p–8:00a; weekends include 24-hour call with 8:00a handoff

Patient Volume: 15–20 clinic patients per day

Provide MFM coverage across clinic, L&D, and postpartum settings

Cover multiple locations while on call:

CHI Health Clinic Maternal Fetal Medicine – CUMC Bergan (primary home base)

CHI Health Clinic Maternal Fetal Medicine – Lakeside

CHI Health CUMC Bergan Mercy

CHI Health Lakeside Hospital

Clinic duties include consults, ultrasound interpretation (MFM and generalist), inpatient ultrasound consult support, and limited private OB coverage (discussion-based)

Perform all standard Maternal Fetal Medicine and obstetric procedures

Use EPIC EMR
-
Work with full front-desk and clinical support staff, including on-site ultrasound

Average callback hours:
-
Weekdays: ~3.2 hours
-
Weekends: ~1 hour

Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology with Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship (required)

Completion of OB-GYN residency and MFM fellowship (required)

Nebraska medical license (active or willing to obtain; highly preferred)

BLS, DEA, and NRP certifications (required)

Eligibility for clinic, hospital, and obstetric privileges

Minimum of 20 deliveries within the past 24 months

Recent clinical practice experience with clean or near-clean malpractice history (preferred)

Ability to meet credentialing deadlines and availability confirmed at time of name clear
