Job description Locums – Maternal & Fetal Medicine | Colorado Springs, Colorado (IMLC Accepted) Assignment Overview
  • Practice Type: 100% Consultative MFM/Perinatology
  • Locations: Must work at both MFM clinic locations
  • Reason for Need: Ongoing schedule gaps; need flexible, ideally full-time coverage
  • EMR: Epic (clinic & hospital)
Required Credentials Board Status
  • Board Certified in Maternal & Fetal Medicine — REQUIRED
Licensure
  • Active Colorado License — REQUIRED OR
  • Active IMLC with LOQ — REQUIRED
Schedule & Call Requirements
  • Call Schedule:
    • Weekdays: 1:3 (5 p.m. – 7 a.m.)
    • Weekends: 1:3 currently; may shift to 1:4 (Fri 5 p.m. – Mon 7 a.m.)
  • Weekend Expectation: 1–2 weekends per month
  • Daytime Work: Highly variable
    • Consult coverage
    • Ultrasound coverage
    • Standby/on-call as needed
  • Response Time: 20 minutes
Clinical Volume
  • Clinic Patients/Day: ~50
  • Hospital Patients/Day: 5–10
  • Group Structure:
    • 2 MFMs
    • 1 Midlevel
  • Teaching: No residents/fellows supervision required
Facility & Resources
  • Exam Rooms: 2
  • Ultrasound: GE Voluson machines; ViewPoint ultrasound reporting
  • Onsite Support:
    • 1 RN
    • 4 Medical Assistants
    • 1 Genetic Counselor
    • 5 Sonographers
  • Lab: Onsite
  • Nursery Levels: I (well-baby), II, III (transfers available as needed)
Key Notes for Recruiters
  • Provider must be flexible to fit into schedule fluctuations
  • Ideal candidate is able to offer full-time ongoing coverage
  • There will be other MFM physicians onsite during locums shifts
  • Locums will NOT supervise residents or fellows
