Job description
A full-time Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician is needed to provide advanced care for high-risk pregnancies within a regional MFM team. The role includes working closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and multiple specialists to deliver comprehensive maternal and fetal care. The physician will primarily practice in Grand Rapids with additional travel to Muskegon as needed. This position offers a collaborative environment, strong support staff, and opportunities for teaching and professional development.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, neonatologists, and other specialists
Develop and oversee individualized maternal and fetal care plans
Serve as a referral source for surrounding practices and providers
Participate in resident and medical student education
Rotate shared on-call responsibilities (mostly phone-based with hospital visits as needed)
Work alongside assigned MA, sonographers, and additional clinic support
Provide care at primary site with periodic coverage at secondary locations
Qualifications
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine (Required)
Must obtain Board Certification within 2 years if Board Eligible
Valid Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain
DEA, BLS, ACLS (or willingness to obtain)
Recent experience in MFM or completion of accredited MFM fellowship
Clean malpractice history (Highly Preferred)
H1B visa candidates accepted (J1 not accepted)
Working Hours
Day shifts with shared on-call rotation
On call primarily consists of phone calls with occasional hospital visits
