Maternal-Fetal Medicine Opportunity in the Kansas City Region

Join a well-established Women's Health program at a high-volume birthing center recognized for excellence in maternity care. This is a consultative Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) role offering predictable scheduling, collaborative support, and the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing perinatal program. If you're seeking clinical impact without the demands of high-risk deliveries, this position offers both professional fulfillment and lifestyle balance.


Practice Overview

  • You'll join a leading regional birthing center with 4,600+ annual deliveries and a growing NICU
  • 100% consultative MFM role alongside private practice OB/GYNs and an employed OB hospitalist group
  • No requirement to attend high-risk deliveries; focus on inpatient consults, antepartum rounding, and virtual consults
  • Perform amniocentesis with fetal surgery referrals supported by a dedicated children's hospital


Schedule

  • Monday-Friday schedule in a 0.6 FTE employed position
  • 1:3 call rotation with 7 days of rounding/on-call coverage
  • Average of 20 patients per day, including ultrasounds
  • No ER coverage required; emergent issues typically addressed same day or within 1-2 days

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
  • Comfortable performing amniocentesis
  • Interest in collaborative co-management of complex OB patients, including ICU cases
  • Desire to contribute to program growth, education, and quality initiatives
