Carilion Clinic is seeking an additional full-time faculty Perinatologist for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Service of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH). CMRH is a 763-bed teaching/tertiary referral center with Virginia State-designated Level 1 Trauma Center and Level III Nursery serving one million people throughout western Virginia. Our Maternal Fetal Medicine practice is primarily a teaching and clinical consultative service. This position will provide a full spectrum of maternal-fetal medicine care and teaching to the residents of our fully accredited OB/GYN residency program.

The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) graduated its first class of doctoral students summer 2014 and includes a faculty appointment for those candidates seeking academic pursuits.

  • Completion of accredited OB/GYN Residency and MFM Fellowship
  • BE/BC in Maternal Fetal Medicine, BC in OB/GYN
  • Interest in Prenatal Diagnosis, including collaboration with two genetics counselors (masters prepared) and ultrasound technicians
  • Daily Antepartum rounds with Chief OB Resident, shared equally
  • Oversight and consultation of OB/GYN residents and students during MFM service rotations
  • Proctoring OB morbidity and mortality conferences
  • Active participation in all faculty activities including faculty committees
  • Active participation in perinatal outreach programs, including CME and marketing
