Job description
Join us as a Breast Radiologist at the Atlanta VA Health Care System located in Decatur, GA. This is a full-time contract position. Provide on-site board-certified breast imaging, radiology physician services. W-2 or 1099 employment options available.
Period of Performance: 5 years (12-month base period w/ 4 renewal options) 4/1/2026-3/31/2031.
Job Responsibilities
• Interpreting imaging studies including mammography, ultrasound, and MRI
• Perform diagnostic procedures
• Collaboration with Healthcare TEAMS
• Patient consultations
• Staying current on latest developments and advancements in field of breast imaging
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain enhanced knowledge and skills
• Oversee mammography program and assure daily compliance with imaging quality standards
• Ensure mammography program follows and meets all requirements as set forth by ACR, FDA/VHA, and MQSA
Qualifications
• Board Certification. All contractor’s physician(s) shall be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology (http://www.theabr.org/).
• Licensure and certification. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. BLS or ACLS, DEA, and NPI required.
• Experience. Must be capable of demonstrating technical proficiency.
• English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
• Subject to background/security investigation.
• Must pass TB test.
• Complete an online onboarding process.
• Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must be a US citizen to apply for this job.
