Locum Radiologist – Mammography

Seeking a Locum Mammography Radiologist for an assignment starting March 21, 2026, with an initial 3–6 month term and the option to extend based on ongoing needs.

Reason for Coverage

• Group practice transitioning to an employed model

Schedule & Practice Setting

• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• No call and no weekends

• Mix of onsite hospital work and remote reading

• Ability to perform diagnostic reads and breast biopsies

• High-volume, very busy department

Clinical Environment

• Trauma Level I facility

• Full complement of support staff

• Patient population primarily adolescents through geriatrics (rare pediatric cases)

Technology

• EMR and systems: Epic, PowerScribe, PACS

Credentialing

• Estimated timeframe: 90–120 days

• Credentialing and application fees are not reimbursed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR)

• Fellowship training in Breast Imaging highly preferred

• Proficiency in breast imaging procedures including US- and stereotactic-guided biopsies, aspirations, and localizations

• Valid or eligible Connecticut medical license

• DEA registration or eligibility

• Current BLS certification (ACLS optional depending on subspecialty)

• Experience in high-volume, integrated health system environments

• Prior experience with hybrid onsite/remote workflow models preferred

• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and collaborative, patient-centered care

• NPDB self-query required at time of presentation (pulled within the same month)
