Job Description:
In this role, the Mammography Lead will collaborate with the department director to oversee the Mammography Department's operations, ensuring an efficient workflow and compliance with all regulatory bodies. Responsibilities include performing quality assurance/control tasks promptly to maintain ACR & MQSA accreditation, conducting mammography procedures, participating in staff development and recruitment, and handling payroll responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring adherence to standards and regulatory requirements of the American College of Radiology (ACR), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Arizona Department of Health and Human Services.
- Overseeing the mammography department's workflow, including collaboration with physicians to accurately protocol mammography exams.
- Participating in the interviewing, hiring, coaching, and development of performance expectations for staff members.
- Performing mammography procedures with a high degree of quality and attention to detail, reflecting Summit Healthcare’s Shine Behavior Standards as well as Patient Safety Standards.
- Collaborating with department director and medical director on the development and modification of mammography policies and procedures.
- Assisting other department leads to facilitate patient care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program (required)
- AART Certification in Mammography & Radiologic Technology (required)
- Mammography and Radiologic Technology licensure for the State of Arizona (required)
- 5 years of experience in mammography (preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership experience (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Experience with maintaining licensure with all required regulatory bodies (ACR, FDA, MQSA) (required)
