The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the University of Iowa’s Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a Section Chief of Cardiac Electrophysiology to lead their established program that is slated for additional growth. The ideal candidate will be clinically active, with demonstrated leadership capabilities, and active in clinical research.

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the University of Iowa’s Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a Section Chief of Cardiac Electrophysiology to lead their established program that is slated for additional growth. The ideal candidate will be clinically active, with demonstrated leadership capabilities, and active in clinical research.
Opportunity Highlights
- Lead a high-functioning team of 6 experienced cardiac electrophysiologists in addition to APPs and additional support staff and electrophysiology fellows.
- Substantial support from the institution to grow the electrophysiology section including immediate hire of junior faculty.
- Access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment including brand new hybrid ORs and EP-designated labs currently under construction.
- Benefit from practicing at the only comprehensive academic center and the only VAD and heart transplant center in the state
- Be instrumental in mentorship and support of junior faculty members.
- Collaborate closely with the pediatric electrophysiology team at the Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
