**Internal Medicine Opportunity w/ Hospitalist Time** Full-time/Permanent positions Located in Mankato - 80 miles to Minneapolis Health System in Mankato is seeking Internal Medicine Physicians. The physicians will primarily work in the clinic and will participate in the hospitalist program, six weeks per year. In the clinic, the physicians will provide primary care for adults who have multiple medical conditions or undefined symptoms and complaints. The services provided in the clinic include: * Preventative medicine screening care such as mammograms, pap smears, routine colon cancer screening evaluations, cholesterol screening, blood pressure screening, etc. * Care for patients with undefined symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, abdominal pain, back pain, etc. * Management of multiple medications. * Care for patients with chronic medical illnesses such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, emphysema, etc. * Pre-operative evaluations. As part of the Hospitalist program, the physicians will manage overall treatment plan for hospitalized patients and coordinate provision of care by other medical/surgical specialists as needed through the referral of patients to medical specialists, social services or other professionals as appropriate; serve as liaison with family and other physicians/programs; ensure patient's primary care physician is kept informed of medical condition/treatment throughout the hospital stay. Must have M.D., D.O., or foreign degree equivalent. Must be eligible for Minnesota medical license and must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine, or in final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification. Health System in Mankato is a 172 bed general hospital and a level two trauma center that serves as the major referral center for South-Central Minnesota.
