Well-reputed, busy, established private primary care group in Memphis is seeking a motivated Internal Medicine physician to serve the community in both the outpatient clinic and hospital, as well as at a local skilled nursing facility.
Practice details:
-Traditional Internal Medicine + SNF rounding
-4 physicians, 3 Nurse Practitioners
-Practice located in east Memphis, near Midtown area
-Practice fully equipped with on-site lab, x-ray, procedure room, and ultrasound
-Cerner is EMR used in the office
-Office open from 7:30am-4:30pm (occasional late day until 6pm)
-All physicians take call for their own patients during the week and have nurses who take phone calls that are minor during that time
-Shared weekend call 1:5
-Physicians see about 25 total patients per day (5-10 inpatients daily on average)
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a ready-made practice with a collegial and team-oriented group of physicians whose top priority is patient-centered care. The new physician would be busy from day one! Group offers employment after year one, including full benefits, CME allowance, Malpractice Insurance, etc.
Midtown Memphis is home to many cultural attractions, institutions of higher education, and noteworthy pieces of architecture. The district is an anchor in Memphis' arts scene, including the Playhouse on the Square, the Hattiloo Theater, the Brooks Museum of Art, the Memphis College of Art, and the Levitt Shell. The annual Cooper-Young Arts Festival draws over 120,000 visitors to the district. Midtown also plays host to multiple universities and colleges, including Memphis College of Art, Rhodes College, and Christian Brothers University.
Candidates must be BE/BC in Internal Medicine – Geriatrics training/experience/interest a major plus, but not a requirement. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration!
