The practice is a 129 bed facility hospital and is one of 21 hospitals in the health system. It is the largest healthcare facility in the region. It was the first AOA (American Osteopathic Association) accredited teaching facility in the state of Virginia, and hosts residents in Internal Medicine. The hospital operates several primary care clinics throughout the region. Our hospital is recognized for its outstanding inpatient rehabilitation services, a black lung clinic and high-quality imaging technology. In 2016, the hospital completed the $13.1 million HealthPlex expansion, a new 39,000-square foot facility that includes a FitOne Wellness Center, Pharmacy offering a drive-thru services, OccuMed Health Center, Primary Care offices, Orthopedics, Community Home Care, outpatient rehab and cardiac/pulmonary rehab services.
Internal Medicine Residency Program that is ranked 2nd in the country. The hospital is fortunate to have a great group of attending physicians to rotate and train our residents and medical students. It recently completed an extensive expansion of its surgery department which significantly enhances its surgery services.

Centrally located at the intersection of U.S. 23 and Highway 58A, the city has for many years served the region as a commercial hub to parts of southwest Virginia and eastern Kentucky.
