Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
Outpatient clinic in Bronx, NY is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician for part-time coverage starting ASAP until our client secures a permanent physician. The hours are 9am-6pm and this assignment offers a flexible schedule working 2-3 days per week (Monday thru Friday). Being well-versed working in a primary care setting is a must. Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
