  • Home to a walk-in orthopedic urgent care center that funnels surgical cases directly into the group

Compensation:

  • Competitive, MGMA-benchmarked base salary guarantee, typically for 2 years

Job/Practice Description: Orthopedic Surgery
  • Broad generalist role: fracture care, joint procedures, general orthopedic cases
  • Basic sports medicine component: knee/shoulder arthroscopy, ACL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs
  • Opportunity for community or athletic team coverage
  • Typical schedule: 2–3 clinic days and 2–3 OR days per week
  • Immediate surgical volume with robust elective arthroscopy and soft-tissue cases
  • Inpatient surgeries at the main campus; outpatient cases at a nearby surgery center
  • Flexible group block time, with access to open block time from colleagues
  • Low-burden ER call: 3–5 shifts per month (~48 days/year), taken from home with standard callback; unassigned shifts compensated separately
  • Hospitalist/Trauma services handle primary inpatient admissions, with orthopedics as surgical consultant



Requirements:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified (ABOS/AOBOS) or actively Board Eligible
  • Open to graduating residents/fellows as well as experienced surgeons
  • Interest in building a high-volume general orthopedic and basic sports practice within a collegial group
