Locum Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO)
Location: Virginia
Start Date: 01/01/2027
Assignment Length: Estimated 12 months
Schedule: Minimum 10 shifts per month
Day shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Nocturnist shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital medicine (two sites). No onsite specialty backup outside of ICU (per Order).
Volume: Approximately 20 to 22 patients per day (site dependent).
EMR: Epic
Call: No
Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
FM or IM residency trained
Active Virginia medical license
Active DEA registration
BLS and ACLS
Alternative boards not accepted
Experience: Minimum 2 years required; 5 years preferred
Travel: Paid travel (per Order)
Credentialing: Typical privileging timeframe 60 to 90 days with a clean file; expedited locum privileges may be possible (per Order).
