Program Director – Internal Medicine Location: Hannibal, MO • Seeking a Full-Time Internal Medicine Residency Program Director with strong clinical, educational, leadership, and interpersonal skills. • Located in Hannibal, Missouri, offering the benefits of small-town living with the support and resources of a regional healthcare network. • Regional healthcare system serving patients throughout Northeast Missouri, Southeast Iowa, and West-Central Illinois. • 99-bed hospital system with multiple clinics. • Recently completed a $63 million renovation and expansion project, including new surgical suites equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Position Responsibilities • Responsible for overall administration and operations of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. • Lead the recruitment and selection of residents. • Oversee resident education within the context of patient care. • Provide appropriate supervision and mentorship of residents. • Oversee resident assessment, promotion, and disciplinary processes. • Support and promote scholarly activity. • Establish and maintain an effective learning environment across all teaching sites. • May delegate specific responsibilities while maintaining overall accountability for program operations. • Work closely with the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and Designated Institutional Official (DIO). • Ensure timely and accurate completion of requirements for the ACGME Residency Review Committee (RRC). • Continue active clinical practice while serving as Program Director. Qualifications • Board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). • Internal Medicine specialty expertise. • At least 3 years of documented Graduate Medical Education experience. • Current medical license and appropriate medical staff appointment. • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. • Commitment to resident education, mentorship, and clinical excellence. • Ability to maintain ongoing clinical activity. Compensation & Benefits • Guaranteed base salary of $380,000+. • $50,000+ sign-on bonus. • Up to $100,000 student loan repayment. • $10,000 moving stipend. • $5,000 annual CME stipend. • Paid malpractice coverage.
