Job description
We are seeking an Internal Medicine or Family Practice physician for a permanent position in Oakland, California. This is a permanent placement with a Federally Qualified Health Center serving a diverse, multilingual community. Please see below for more information.
- Federally Qualified Health Center; loan repayment offered
- Physicians who speak Cantonese, Vietnamese, Mandarin, or another Asian language are preferred, and candidates who are comfortable working with professional interpreters are equally encouraged to apply
- H-1B visa sponsorship is available for candidates who bring Cantonese, Vietnamese, or Mandarin language skills
- Open to new graduates
- Team-based care model with embedded behavioral health support
- Assigned to a single clinic location
- Epic EMR
- Candidates currently based in the Bay Area are preferred; a relocation package cannot be guaranteed
Job Responsibilities
Manage chronic disease, preventive care, and acute presentations in the clinic setting
Communicate with patients directly in their preferred language or through professional interpreter services
Coordinate care alongside embedded behavioral health colleagues
Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic studies
Document care in Epic EMR
Qualifications
Active California medical license
