Job description
We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician (FM or IM accepted) for a locum tenens position in Okeechobee, FL. This is a PRN opportunity at a rural community acute care hospital with flexible day and night shift availability. Please see below for more information.
- Acute Care Hospital
- ~100 licensed beds
- Rural / community hospital setting
- ~180+ physicians on staff
- Patient Age Group: Adults
Job Responsibilities
Manage acute medical conditions
Coordinate transfers for complex cases as needed
Collaborate with on-site generalists and consulting providers
Cover both day and night shifts as available
Qualifications
Active Florida license required
DEA required
BLS required
ACLS required
Working Hours
Day shift 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Night shifts available
Scheduled, no call
PRN — providers may pick up shifts as they become open
Must be willing to work both days and nights
12-week assignment
