St. Francis Medical Center is seeking a Hospitalist Physician to join Epic Medical Group, a physician-led organization providing inpatient care in Lynwood, California. This opportunity offers a predictable block schedule, strong clinical support, and a collaborative hospital environment serving a diverse, high-acuity patient population.
The incoming physician will practice in a team-based model with intensivist support, focusing on inpatient medical management without procedural requirements.
Position Highlights
- 7-on/7-off schedule (Tuesday–Monday)
- Day shift only: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 1099 independent contractor model
- No procedures required
- No overnight in-house requirement
- Open ICU co-managed with intensivist team
- Call approximately every 6 weeks

St. Francis Medical Center is a leading acute care facility serving Southeast Los Angeles County, providing comprehensive services including emergency medicine, intensive care, cardiology, and surgical specialties.
Hospitalists work in a collaborative environment with specialists and intensivists, allowing for high-quality patient care in a well-supported hospital setting.
What You'll Do
- Provide inpatient medical management for hospitalized patients
- Collaborate with intensivists and specialty consultants
- Manage admissions, rounding, and discharges
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a team-based model
Schedule
Full-Time
- 7-on/7-off block schedule
- Day shifts only (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
What We're Looking For
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex inpatient cases
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment
Compensation
- $1,500 per shift (1099)
- Additional earning potential through collections model
- Flexible scheduling within block structure
