• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,150 – $7,280

• Practice Setting: Clinic-based outpatient internal medicine / primary care
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8.5 Hour Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Duration: 13-week contract (June – August 2026)
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric outpatient care
• Teaching Load: Overseeing 4 residents; collaborating with 2 attending physicians
• Travel & Reimbursement: Hotel and mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Call/ED Coverage: No call, no ED backup

Job Requirements

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine (required)
• Active Michigan medical license (or eligible for expedited licensure)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 1 year experience in adult and geriatric outpatient/internal medicine primary care
• Experience supervising residents or serving as a clinical preceptor (teaching physician/medical educator)
• Available for Monday–Friday clinic coverage for the contract period
• Self-Query NPDB (pulled within the month) required

Responsibilities

• Serve as resident preceptor and mentor internal medicine residents in an outpatient clinic setting
• Provide high-quality adult and geriatric primary care, including diagnosis, treatment, and chronic disease management
• Supervise resident patient encounters, provide feedback, and support resident clinical education
• Collaborate with clinic staff and attending physicians to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain clinic protocols, documentation standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements
