Job description
The Finger Lakes Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking an experienced Physician / Administrator to provide leadership to our NY Rochester Outpatient Clinic. Our outpatient clinic provides primary care and specialty health services, including cardiology, dental care, mental health services, laboratory services, and more, to veterans located in the Rochester area and rural outlying towns. This is done in conjunction with the Canandaigua VA Medical Center.
This position is 70% administrative and 30% clinical, and open to physicians with relevant specialties provided at the clinic:
Audiology
Cardiology
Dental/oral surgery
Dermatology
Gastroenterology
Laboratory and pathology
Mental health care
Nutrition, food, and dietary care
Ophthalmology
Optometry
Orthopedics
Podiatry
Primary care
Psychiatry

Benefits:
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Job Responsibilities
Duties include the following but are not limited to:
Clinical Responsibilities (30%):
Patient Care: Provide comprehensive patient care, ensuring individualized treatment plans
Evaluation and Treatment: Perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and oversee the implementation of care strategies
Follow-Up Care: Monitor patient progress through follow-up consultations and adjust treatments as necessary
Administrative Responsibilities (70%):
Primary Care Management: Oversee primary care services, ensuring effective delivery and accessibility
Specialty Care Coordination: Manage specialty services, including optometry and podiatry, facilitating patient referrals and collaboration among providers
Employee Health Support: Implement and oversee health programs for employees, promoting a safe and healthy workplace environment
Provider Credentialing and Privileging: Lead the credentialing and privileging processes for medical staff, ensuring regulatory compliance
Clinical Metrics Monitoring: Regularly assess clinical performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and enhance service quality
Action Plan Development: Develop and execute action plans derived from clinical performance reviews to optimize healthcare delivery
