We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Medicine Physician to join our hospitalist team at WellSpan York Hospital. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional overnight inpatient care in a dynamic, supportive environment. As an Internal Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for managing patient admissions, providing high-quality medical care, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. This ongoing contract offers a 7-on/7-off rotation, with standard 12-hour overnight shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM (some shifts may extend to 8 PM to 8 AM). The role involves caring for adult patients aged 18 and over, with approximately 10-12 admissions per night.

Required Skills
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania
- DEA certification
- ACLS certification
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in a hospitalist or inpatient setting
- Familiarity with the EPIC EMR system
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Preferred Education and Experience
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Prior experience working in hospital or inpatient care environments
Other Requirements
- Credentialing process completion within approximately 90 days
- Ability to commit to night shifts and maintain flexibility for scheduling needs
- Must adhere to all state, federal, and hospital policies
