Hours/week: 16 Hours/week
Job Summary:
The Physician/Medical Director oversees medical care for residents in developmental centers, ensuring compliance with ICF/IID standards and agency policies. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities in policy development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and public health initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Provide primary care including exams, diagnoses, prescriptions, and documentation.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct medical services across facilities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, case managers, and other professionals to address patient needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; manage medications and referrals.
• Consult with facility committees and external agencies.
• Supervise medical staff and support personnel.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection control, and emergency preparedness initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
• OH state Medical License
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
• DEA Certification
• BLS certification
