Description

A healthcare organization in Illinois is seeking a Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join a full-time outpatient primary care practice.

The physician will provide comprehensive adult primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment. This role includes leadership responsibilities in guiding clinical staff and contributing to quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in adult medicine and a commitment to providing evidence-based, compassionate patient care.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based medical care to adult patients
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform preventive health screenings and health maintenance services
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Support population health and quality improvement initiatives
• Supervise and collaborate with clinical support staff (MA, RN, LPN, NP, PA)
• Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Participate in on-call coverage and inpatient rounding when required
• Deliver age-appropriate care and chronic disease management
• Participate in clinical training, supervision, and organizational initiatives

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active Illinois Medical License (or eligibility)
• DEA Certification required
• Strong clinical knowledge in adult primary care and chronic disease management

Working Hours

Schedule: Full-Time

Shift Structure: Daytime Outpatient Clinic Hours

On-Call Requirement: Rotational call coverage may be required

Additional Responsibilities: Possible inpatient rounding depending on practice needs
