🏥 Position Overview
The Primary Care Physician will provide medical care to patients within the medical infirmary, addressing ongoing health needs as well as acute medical issues. The physician will manage a small inpatient census and perform basic medical procedures when required.
⏰ Schedule
📅 Monday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📅 Tuesday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Structured weekday schedule designed to maintain consistent patient care coverage.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
✨ Provide primary care services to infirmary patients
✨ Manage acute medical issues and ongoing conditions
✨ Conduct patient evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
✨ Perform basic medical procedures when necessary
✨ Collaborate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
✨ Maintain accurate medical documentation within the EMR system
✨ Ensure compliance with clinical and safety protocols
🩺 Patient Care & Procedures
✔ Average infirmary census: 14–24 patients
✔ Most patients require routine monitoring and periodic follow-ups
✔ Provide treatment for acute patient issues when needed
Basic procedural skills required:
• Suturing
• Splinting
• Incision and drainage
📋 Qualifications
🎓 Board Eligible or Board Certified Physician
📜 Active Pennsylvania Medical License required
🩺 Experience in primary care or internal medicine settings preferred
🤝 Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
🪪 Required Certifications
✅ BLS Certification required
✅ ACLS Certification preferred
